How It Works

1. Submit a Quote

Tell us your pallet size (must be single size), quantity, condition, and pickup ZIP. Photos help speed the quote.

2. We Quote in 24 Hours

Written buyback quote with per-pallet pay rate based on size, condition, current market.

3. We Schedule Pickup

Same-week pickup in primary 5-state coverage. We bring our truck to your yard.

4. Fast Payment

Choose fast payment, net-7 ACH, or net-30 for established sellers. We weigh, count, and pay.

Pallet Sizes We Buy (Single-Size Loads Only)

Critical policy: All pallets per truck must be the same size. No mixed-size loads. We resell to commercial customers who require consistent specs - mixed loads are unsalable. If you have multiple sizes, separate them and submit separate quotes per size.

Buyback Pricing Reference (As of 2026)

Prices below are typical buyback ranges per pallet, paid by Florida Pallet Supply. Final pay rate depends on grade (A/B/C), pickup distance, market demand, and load size. Bulk loads of 500+ pallets get the best rates.

Education for Pallet Collectors

If you're new to commercial pallet collection or looking to scale your operation, here are the fundamentals every collector needs to know:

1. Sort by Size First, Always

The single biggest mistake new pallet collectors make is mixing sizes. A truck with a mix of 48x40 and 36x36 is unsellable to commercial buyers like Florida Pallet Supply. Every collector should have at least 5-7 separate stacks at their yard, one per common size: 48x40 GMA, 36x36, 40x40, 42x42, 48x48, 48x42, and 60x40. Sort first, count second, transport third.

2. Grade Your Pallets Honestly

Grade A pallets have completely intact stringers, no broken deck boards, and look almost new. Grade B has minor visible repairs (replaced boards, plug repairs) - still structurally sound. Grade C has more visible wear - suitable for one-way shipments only. Honest grading saves time on both sides; quoting a Grade C as Grade A wastes your truck slot when we reject the load.

3. Watch Out for Contamination

Pallets contaminated with oil, fuel, chemicals, or hazmat residue are unsellable in commercial buyback. The same applies to pallets with live pest infestation, mold, rot, or fire damage. If you collect from a chemical plant, fuel depot, or pest-treated facility, those pallets go to waste/disposal, not buyback. Florida Pallet Supply rejects contaminated loads on inspection.

4. Photograph Before Quoting

Phone photos of your stacks - wide shot showing pile height + 3-5 close-ups of representative pallets - dramatically speed the quote process. We can confirm grade, condition, and stamp markings (HT/IPPC for ISPM-15) from photos in 24 hours instead of waiting for an in-person inspection. Send photos when you submit your quote request.

5. ISPM-15 Pallets Are Worth More

If your pallets carry the IPPC stamp with "HT" (heat-treated) designation, they're worth 15-25% more than standard recycled pallets in our buyback program. Heat-treated pallets get resold to exporters staging at port terminals (PortMiami, JAXPORT, Port of Houston, Port Newark, Port of LA, etc.) where they command full retail. Always separate ISPM-15 stamped pallets from non-stamped pallets and quote them separately.

6. Volume = Better Pricing

Truckload buyback (500+ pallets, single size) gets the best per-pallet rate. Half-load (250-500) gets standard rate. Below 250 pallets, our drivers can't justify the trip cost - you'd need to deliver to our yard. If you're collecting under 250/week, consider a 2-3 week consolidation cycle to hit truckload volume per pickup.

7. Set Up a Recurring Pickup

For established collectors with weekly recurring volume (5+ truckloads per month), we offer drop-trailer exchange programs. We drop a loaded trailer at your facility; you fill it as you collect; we exchange for an empty one on schedule. No per-load coordination overhead. Best for collectors with 1,000+ pallets per week of consistent single-size flow.

8. Know Your Local Market

Pallet buyback rates vary by region. Coastal port cities (Miami, Newark, Baltimore, LA, Long Beach) pay more for ISPM-15 heat-treated pallets due to export demand. Major industrial corridors (Atlanta, Houston, Chicago) pay more for 48x40 GMA. Rural collection points pay less due to higher transport cost. Florida Pallet Supply pays the same per-pallet rate within each primary state, with adjustment for distance from the nearest yard.

Frequently Asked Questions - Selling to FPS

What pallets does Florida Pallet Supply buy?

Florida Pallet Supply buys commercial wood pallets in standard sizes (48x40 GMA, 36x36, 40x40, 42x42, 48x48, 48x42, 60x40) in single-size truckload loads. Minimum 250 pallets per load. We do NOT buy mixed-size loads - all pallets per truck must be the same size. We pay fast on pickup or net-7 ACH for verified collectors. Pallets must be in usable condition: structurally sound stringers, no oil or chemical contamination, no significant pest damage.

What is the minimum order to sell pallets to FPS?

Minimum sell-side order is 250 pallets per load, all the same size. A single-size truckload (250-600 pallets depending on size and trailer type) is the standard buyback unit. Smaller volumes (under 250) can be aggregated at our buyback yards in FL, GA, NJ, MD, DE for collectors who deliver to us.

Do you buy mixed-size pallet loads?

No. Florida Pallet Supply buys single-size loads only - all 48x40, OR all 36x36, OR all 42x42, etc. We do not accept mixed-size loads because our resale customers (food, beverage, retail, automotive supply chains) require consistent pallet specifications. If you have multiple sizes, separate them by size and submit separate quote requests for each size.

How much do you pay per pallet?

Buyback pricing varies by size, condition, and current market demand. As of 2026, typical pay rates: 48x40 GMA Grade A current market rate per pallet; 48x40 GMA Grade B market rate; 36x36 single-use market rate; 40x40 industrial market rate; 42x42 chemical market rate; 48x48 specialty market rate; 60x40 oversized market rate. Bulk loads (500+ same-size) get the best per-pallet rate. Submit a quote request with photos for exact pricing.

Where do you pick up pallets?

Florida Pallet Supply picks up pallets at your yard within the primary 5-state coverage (FL, GA, NJ, MD, DE) for loads of 250+ pallets. For locations outside the primary network, you deliver to one of our yards (typical drop point: a regional consolidation site near your area). Drop trailer exchanges available for collectors with weekly recurring volume.

How are payments handled for sellers?

Three payment options: (1) Fast payment - our driver brings a pre-cleared check or cash for the agreed amount; (2) Net-7 ACH - payment to your bank account 7 days after pickup, used for verified recurring collectors; (3) Net-30 ACH - payment 30 days after pickup, used for established wholesale relationships. Choose your preferred method during the quote process.

What condition pallets do you accept?

We accept Grade A (premium, intact stringers, no broken boards), Grade B (standard, minor repairs OK), and Grade C / economy (visible wear, multiple repairs - lower buyback rate). We do NOT accept: pallets contaminated with oil, fuel, or chemicals; pallets with extensive pest damage (live bugs, frass); pallets with rot, mold, or fire damage; and pallets used for prior toxic loads (hazmat, pesticides). Submit photos with your quote for fast condition assessment.

Can I sell heat-treated (ISPM-15) pallets?

Yes. ISPM-15 heat-treated pallets command a 15-25% premium over standard recycled pallets in our buyback program because we resell them to exporters at port terminals. The IPPC stamp and HT designation must be visible. We pay top dollar for clean ISPM-15 pallets ready for re-export staging.
